It doesn’t take long to create these breadsticks to serve alongside marinara dipping sauce or as something to dip in your soup or chili.
Take each roll, one at a time, and cut a tiny piece off for the wrapping above the broomstick’s bristles.
Roll each of the two pieces into a rope. The larger piece will be the length of the breadstick; roll it as wide as the baking sheet.
Flatten 1-1/2 to 2-inches of one end of the breadstick using a bench scrape/dough cutter or other tool you may have.
Cut bristles into the flattened section with the edge of the bench scrape/dough cutter, or a knife, if you don’t have a bench scrape.
Take the small rope and wrap it directly above the bristles.
Place the broomstick on a silicone lined or greased baking sheet about 1-inch apart. Repeat with each roll.
Cover rolls with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise until they puff up slightly.
Remove the wrap and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately brush with butter hot from the oven. Serve with marinara dipping sauce, soup, or chili.
