This delicious savory bread will go well with any meal.

Ingredients

  1. 12 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature
  2. 2 tablespoons softened butter
  3. 3/4 cup grated Italian blend cheese
  4. 1/2 cup sun dried tomatoes, drained and diced
  5. 6 cloves garlic, peeled and pressed
  6. 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil

Instructions

Spray counter lightly with cooking spray. Combine rolls and roll into an 8 x 22 inch rectangle. Cover with plastic wrap while preparing toppings. Remove wrap from dough and spread with softened butter to within 1 inch of edges.

Sprinkle with cheese, tomatoes garlic and basil. Starting with a long side, roll dough, jelly roll style and pinch seam to seal. Lift onto a sprayed baking sheet, seam side down. Using scissors, cut the roll open the long way, about 1 inch deep, starting 1/2 inch from each end.

Twist into an S shape, keeping the cut side up. Tuck each end under the middle to form a figure 8. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise about 30 minutes. Remove wrap and bake at 350°F 30-35 minutes or until golden. Cover with foil to prevent over browning after about 15 minutes.
