Baking spices right into the bread and then topping it with your favorite mexican food toppings insures flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  1. 6 Rhodes Texas White Rolls, thawed and risen
    1/2 teaspoon chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon red pepper, crushed
    2 cups lettuce, shredded
    1 1/2 cup nonfat cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/2 cup salsa
    1 1/2 cups nonfat refried beans
    1 cup kidney beans, drained
    1 onion, chopped
    2 cups tomatoes, chopped

Instructions

Thaw rolls until soft and risen. Combine chili powder, garlic powder and crushed red pepper together in a small dish. Knead one roll into a ball. Sprinkle bread board with 1/8 teaspoon spice mixture. Roll out dough into a 6-inch circle on top of mixture. Fold dough over several times. Repeat process for remaining rolls. Place on sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes or until golden brown. add fixings. Layer beans, vegetables, cheese, and salsa on top. For extra spice top with jalapenos.
