This recipe makes a great Breakfast, Brunch or Main Dish!

Ingredients

  1. 16 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature
    1 pound Italian sausage
    8 ounces cream cheese
    1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Combine 8 rolls and roll into a 10 x 14 inch rectangle. Repeat with remaining 8 rolls. Cover both with plastic wrap while preparing the sausage.

Brown sausage, drain and add cream cheese. Mix until cream cheese is melted. Remove plastic wrap from one of the dough rectangles. Place in a sprayed 9 x 13 pan to cover the bottom. Spread sausage evenly over dough, leaving about 1/2 inch around the edges without any sausage mixture on it. Brush edge with water.

Remove wrap from second rectangle and place over sausage mixture. Press around the edges to seal the top and bottom together (the water will help seal it). With a sharp knife, cut X's evenly over the top of the dough. Cover with plastic wrap again and let rise 20-30 minutes. Bake at 350°F 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with butter while still hot. Serve warm.
