Ingredients

  1. 12 Rhodes rolls
    3 cups oil
    1 cup sugar
    2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
    2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

Place 12 frozen rolls on a prepared pan lined with parchment paper. Cover with a clean & dry kitchen towel. Rise at room temp for 3 hours.

Cut rolls in half, like shown above in picture.
Place rolls back on baking sheet.

In a large mixing bowl add 1 cup of sugar, 2 teaspoons of pumpkin spice and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Stir until combined.

In a large pot add 1 inch of canola oil, it took me 3 cups. Heat over medium-high heat until oil is hot. I check this by adding a drip of water and if it sizzles, the oil is ready. Turn heat down to medium-low.

Add 3 of the rolls into the pot, fry for 12-15 seconds, or until light golden brown then turn. Repeat and fry for 10-15 seconds, once all sides are a light golden bowl, remove from pot and place in the sugar & pumpkin spice mix. Coat the rolls with the sugar. Rolls from sugar and place on a paper towel. Repeat with the remaining rolls and sugar.

Once the Bits have cooled, serve.

**Time for frying may vary dependent on your oil temperature.
