Preheat oven to 375F. Grate cheese and set aside. Brown ground beef over medium heat and add salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the tomato sauce and spices. reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors. Remove from heat. Roll each Rhodes roll into a round about 1/4" thick. Top with 2 tablespoons each of meat filling and cheese. Cover with a second roll and pinch edges to seal. Pierce top with a fork. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
