Have you ever tasted peppermint on bread dough? It is a surprisingly delightful taste treat and perfect for the holidays.

Ingredients

  1. 16 Rhodes™ White Dinner Rolls, thawed
  2. 1 egg, beaten
  3. 1/4 cup peppermint sticks, coarsely crushed
  4. 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla
  6. 4 -5 cups powdered sugar
  7. 1/4 cup milk
  8. Pan size; large baking sheet
  9. Temperature; 350° F
  10. Baking time; 15-20 minutes

Instructions

Thaw rolls until soft (about 1.5 hours at room temperature). With hands, roll each roll into a 12-inch rope. Twist 2 ropes together, pinch ends, and place on a large sprayed cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg and cover with sprayed plastic wrap. Let rise 30 to 40 minutes. Remove wrap. Bake at 350° F for 15 to 20 minutes. Beat together margarine, vanilla, powdered sugar and milk. While twists are still warm, glaze each with icing and sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top.
