Try this peppery twist on the old hamburger stand by and your family will give you rave reviews.

Prep Time: 15 min (not including thaw time)

  1. 13 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed
    1/2 cup baked bread crumbs
    1/4 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
    1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely chopped
    1 pound lean hamburger
    1 egg
    fresh parsley, chopped
    fresh cracked pepper


Thaw rolls until soft (about 1.5 hours at room temperature). Knead pairs of rolls into 6 larger buns and place on sprayed baking sheet. Place remaining single roll on pan to bake. This one will be used as bread crumbs. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap. Let rise until double in size. Remove wrap and bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Mix all remaining ingredients except the pepper. Form into 6 hamburgers and sprinkle pepper in the patties. Chill for 30 minutes. Grill for 10 to 15 minutes.
