Ingredients

  1. 1 loaf Rhodes Frozen Bread Dough thawed
  2. Cinnamon Filling:
  3. 1 egg white
  4. 8 oz Almond Paste
  5. 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  6. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  7. Glaze:
  8. 1 cup powdered sugar
  9. 1/2 tsp almond extract
  10. 2 Tablespoons water
  11. Sliced almonds for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll into 16x18-inch rectangle. Cut lengthwise into 3 strips.

Filling
In a small bowl, beat all of the ingredients with an electric mixer until very smooth. When dough has been rolled out and cut in 3 strips, spread 3 or more Tablespoons of filling down the center of each strip.

Roll each strip from the long side, jelly-roll style, and place seam side down. Roll lightly to seal the edges.

Cut each strip into 3" pieces,Cut 2 slits for the "toes" and place the pieces on to a baking sheet covered with parchment, curving them slightly. cover with plastic wrap that has been sprayed with cooking spray.

Allow claws to rise in a warm place for 20 minutes or until puffy.
Bake in pre heated oven for 5-8 minutes or until golden in color. Let cool on wire racks.
