Ingredients

  1. 12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls
    1 (21 oz.) can apple pie filling
    1 can whipped cream, opt.
    caramel ice cream topping, opt. 

Instructions

Place 12 frozen rolls in a 9x13-inch baking pan and cover with a lid or with plastic wrap.  Allow to thaw in the refrigerator overnight.  In the morning, roll out thawed roll dough on a lightly floured surface.  Using a large round cookie cutter (around 4-inches), cut out a circle from each rolled out piece of dough and press into a greased, standard-size muffin tin, pressing up the sides of the muffin cups.  Discard scraps of dough. Using a toothpick, poke holes all over each roll.  Chop the apples in the pie filling into bite-sized pieces.  Fill each muffin cup with 2-3 Tablespoons of apple pie filling. 

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 15-18 minutes or until roll is lightly golden brown.  Remove from oven and cool slightly.  Drizzle with caramel and top with whipped cream, if desired.  Makes 12 apple pie cups.
