This delicious Christmas favorite will bring back memories from the old country.
Flatten dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Sprinkle with raisens, cherries, almonds and cardamom, press into dough. Divide in half, shape into balls. Place in greased round cake pans or on a cookie sheet. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap. Let rise in warm place until double in size,(about 1 to 1 1/2 hours). Remove wrap, and bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes. Frost warm loaves with vanilla frosting. Decorate with candied cherries and almonds.
