Peppers make this appetizer recipe a colorful and delicious addition to your dining experience.
Thaw rolls until soft, (about 1 1/2 hours at room temterature). Remove seeds and ribs of peppers and dice. Saute peppers and onions in olive oil until onions are translucent (about 3-4 minutes). Cut each roll into 4 pieces. Place rolls in a 11x7-inch sprayed pan. Brush dough with melted margarine and add salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle onions and peppers over top of rolls. Top with grated cheddar cheese, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise until double in size. Do not allow dough to rise above top of pan or cheese will overflow during baking. Remove wrap. Place baking dish on cookie sheet to collect spills and bake at 350°F 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly before serving.
