Ingredients

  1. 6 Rhodes Rolls
  2. 1 – 1 ½ cups vanilla ice cream or any ice cream flavor of your choice
  3. ½ cup Ghirardelli Chocolate Melting Wafers
  4. Large star decorating tip
  5. 1 frosting piping bag 

Instructions

Directions: Place 6 frozen roll on a prepared pan lined with parchment paper. Rise at room temp for 3 hours.
Cut rolls in half. Place rolls back on baking sheet and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place rolls in oven and bake 12 minutes. Remove from oven and allow rolls to completely cool.
Once cooled, remove ice cream from freezer, allow to sit at room temp until softened. Scoop ice cream into piping bag with large star decorating tip. Cut an X into the side of each roll. Insert ½ teaspoon measuring spoon into the X, remove some of the center of the roll. Then place the star top of the ice cream bag into the X on the side of the roll. Press about 1-2 tablespoons of ice cream into each roll. You can tell the roll is full as you fill it expands or the ice cream starts to come out.
Place on plate and place in the freezer. Repeat with remaining rolls and ice cream, setting each roll on the plate in the freezer once filled. Let them freeze for 20 minutes. Melt chocolate according to package directions, remove rolls from the freezer and dip the top half of the roll into the chocolate. Set aside to all the chocolate to harden, place back in freezer for another 20 minutes.
Serve any time after freezing time is complete. Store in a Ziploc bag in the freezer. Enjoy!
