Ingredients

  1. 12 Rhodes Warm N Serve Artisan French Rolls
    Sliced deli roast beef
    Sliced cheese - provolone, colby jack, swiss, and sharp cheddar are all great here

    For the Spread:
    ¼ cup mayonnaise
    1 tablespoon Dijon or spicy brown mustard
    1 teaspoon poppy seeds
    ½ tablespoon dried onion flakes or ¼ teaspoon onion powder
    ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

    Aluminum foil, for wrapping sandwiches*

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Allow rolls to sit on the counter for a few minutes, or you can microwave them according to directions on the package. Slice rolls in half for sandwiches.

In a small mixing bowl, mix together the spread ingredients: mayo, mustard, poppy seeds, onion flakes (or powder), and worcestershire sauce.

Spread the inside of each roll with the mayo spread. Layer in slices of roast beef and a slice or two of cheese. Wrap each sandwich in foil and bake on a baking sheet or the oven rack for 15-20 minutes until sandwich is warm and cheese is melted.


Notes:
*Sandwiches can be made ahead of time (up to a day in advance) and refrigerated until ready to heat.

*These can also be heated on the coals of a campfire. If planning to heat this way, use heavy duty foil to ensure you don’t end up with ashes in your sandwich.
