These grilled wrap beginnings are light and tasty and quick on the grill. Perfect for your summer time table.


Prep Time: 10 min (not including thaw time)

Ingredients

  1. 6 Rhodes Texas Rolls or 12 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed and risen
    flour
    olive oil, salt and pepper, seasonings and herbs, if desired

Instructions

Using a little flour and rolling pin, roll each Texas roll or 2 dinner rolls combined into a flat, round shape, about 10 to 12-inches in diameter (the smaller the circle, the thicker the grilled bread). Turn dough over often as you roll it out. If desired, brush with olive oil, salt and pepper or other seasonings and herbs. Place on a medium high heated BBQ grill, or a grill pan on your stovetop. Grill 30-45 seconds on each side or until golden brown lines appear. Remove from heat immediately.

I make these almost every time I grill. To cut down on time, I don't wait for them to rise, I just thaw 'em (after spraying the with Pam) and while they arestill cool, press them out into a circle, usually using whole wheat flouer to keep them from sticking. Brush with oil or margarine with garlic salt in it, while grilling. My family loves them
