Prep Time: 30 min (not including thaw time)
Bake Time: 20 min
Servings: 16
Skills: Beginning

  1. 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions, whites and greens
    2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
1 (4.5 oz) can chopped green chiles, drained
8 Rhodes rolls, thawed but still cold
    1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat the oven to 350F. Spray a 9-inch round baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. In a bowl, combine the cheese, green onions, cilantro and green chiles. Cut each roll into half. Roll each half into a circle, about 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Add about 2 teaspoons of the green chile mixture to the center of each dough circle. Using your hands, pinch the edges together, forming a ball. Place the ball, seam side down, in the prepared pan. Once all of the balls have been made, brush the tops with the olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the tops are browned and the dough is cooked. Serve warm.
