This is a great recipe for your Cinco De Mayo celebrations.

Prep Time: 30 min (not including thaw time)
Bake Time: 30 min

  1. 12 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature
  2. 1/2 pound ground beef
  3. 1 cup diced onion
  4. 2 teaspoons crushed garlic
  5. 1 tablespoon chili powder
  6. 1 teaspoon cumin
  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  8. 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  9. 16 ounce can refried beans
  10. 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
  11. fresh salsa
  12. sour cream


Spray counter lightly with cooking spray. Combine 6 rolls and roll into an 11x15 inch rectangle. Place in the bottom of a sprayed 9x13 inch pan. Poke with a fork several times to prevent bubbles from forming and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.

Roll remaining rolls into an 11x15 inch rectangle and cover with plastic wrap. Brown hamburger with onion and garlic, drain and add spices. Spread baked crust with refried beans and top with seasoned meat. Remove wrap from remaining dough and place dough on top of meat. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 3-5 additional minutes to melt cheese.

Serve with fresh salsa and sour cream.
