  1. 12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls
    1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
    1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
    1/2 cup chopped green onion
    1/2 oz. package salsa spice mix
    1/2 cup raisins
    2 oz. sliced ripe black olives
    12 Rhodes White Texas Rolls


Use a regular 12 cup muffin pan. Set 12 Rhodes rolls out to thaw. While roll dough is thawing, brown the meat and onions in a hot skillet. Drain the meat and discard drippings. Add salsa mix, raisins, black olives and green olives. Mix well. On a well floured board, press and roll each roll into a 5" circle. Place 2 heaping tablespoons of meat mixture in the center of each circle. Bring edges of the dough up to the center over the meat and pinch together. Place each pop-up in a lightly oiled muffin cup. Lightly egg wash each pop-up. Let rise for 15 minutes. Bake in a 350 F oven for about 20 minutes. Remove from oven. Let rest for 5 minutes. Then tip out into a basket or wire rack. Makes 12 pop-ups. Delicious served hot and fresh for dinner or make a wonderful microwaved sack lunch sandwich.
