Thaw rolls until soft and risen. Saute onions, salt and pepper in butter until clear, but not brown. Knead rolls together, then roll out into a 12-inch circle. Line clean Dutch oven with foil and place dough on the bottom. Bake for 5 minutes at 350°F. Place onions on dough. Sprinkle shredded cheese over onions.
