These folded over, pizza meal in your hand calzones are a real favorite for hectic lifestyle convenience. Their hearty goodness warms any heart and stomach.

Prep Time: 15 min (not including thaw time)
Bake Time: 20-25 min

  1. 12 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold
  2. 2 ounces sliced pepperoni (about 27 regular slices) cut in half
  3. 8 ounces sausage, browned and drained well
  4. 2 1/2-ounce can sliced olives, drained well
  5. 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  6. 1/2 cup chopped green peppers
  7. 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  8. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  9. 1 cup pizza sauce, heated


Spray counter lightly with cooking spray. Press 2 rolls together and roll them into a 9-inch circle. Make 5 more circles with the other rolls.

Combine pepperoni, sausage, olives, mushrooms, green peppers, cheese and Italian seasoning. Divide mixture equally and spoon onto one half of each circle. Moisten edges of circle with water. Fold dough over (like a turnover) and press edges together, with a fork, to seal. Cut three small slits in the top of each one to vent.

Place on a large sprayed baking sheet. Bake at 350°F 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. To serve, dip in heated pizza sauce.

Awesome!  I halved the recipe for our family of five and it was not enough!! 1/4 cup mozzarella in each, and 7 pepperoni layered on top of cheese.  Whole calzone is 10 points+ on WW!!  So satisfying.  Oh and prego pizza sauce for dipping.   Mmmm...  Already looking forward to these again.
