Ingredients

  1. 1 loaf Rhodes White Bread, thawed
    2 ounces cream cheese, softened
    1 teaspoon lemon zest
    1 tablespoon honey
    1 cup fresh blueberries
    powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

First, roll out the thawed bread dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. 

Mix together 2 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 teaspoon lemon zest and 1 tablespoon honey until smooth.

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the bread dough and sprinkle on the fresh blueberries. Gently press the blueberries into the dough and then use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into 24 squares.

Stack the squares into piles of four and carefully place each stack on its side into a greased bread pan.  Cover with a towel and allow the dough to rise in a warm place for 45-60 minutes or until doubled in size.

Bake at 350° F for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes and then gently loosen the edges with a knife. Remove from the pan to a plate and allow to cool for another 15 minutes.

Dust the top with a little powdered sugar before serving. ENJOY!
