A fun way to make a delicious savory loaf of bread.


Prep Time: 20-30 min (not including thaw time)
Bake Time: 25 min

Ingredients

  1. 1 loaf Rhodes Bread Dough or 12 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold
    1 egg
    1 tablespoon chopped garlic
    1/4 cup grated fresh parmesan cheese
    1 1/2 tablespoons parsley flakes
    1/2 cup bleu cheese crumbles

Instructions

Place loaf or rolls on a cutting board. Chop into small pieces. Break egg onto the pieces and spoon garlic on top. Chop and move the dough to coat the pieces with egg and garlic.

Combine parmesan and parsley. Sprinkle onto dough and chop and coat pieces again. Sprinkle bleu cheese crumbles on top and chop to distribute through dough.

Place into a well sprayed loaf pan. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise until dough reaches the top of the pan. Remove plastic and bake at 375°F 20-25 minutes. Cover with foil after 15 minutes if needed to prevent over browning.

I have a bag of dinner rolls. I plan on trying monkey bread using sweetened condensed milk. Do you have a recipe for this?

I can't stand bleu cheese.  Could I use cheddar instead?

Could I add a can of chopped green chili 4oz or 7oz. Would that change baking time or make the bread to wet? Sound like a easy and good recipe.
