Use this toothy character as a centerpiece, sandwich or gobble him up before he gets you first.
Thaw dough until soft (about 3 hours at room temperature). With a sharp bread knife, cut 1-1/2 inches off the end of the loaf of dough. Stretch and roll the rest of the loaf to about 18 inches, forming a narrow tail and leaving a broad head. Sculpt the head further by trimming off the corners. Place alligator body on large sprayed cookie sheet. Using scissors, cut open a 2-1/2 inch mouth. Prop the mouth open with a ball of foil. Pinch two nostrils; go back about 2 inches from the mouth and pinch two eye sockets. Place two pea sized bread balls in the sockets for eyes. Cut the reserved piece of dough into 4 pieces. Stretch and roll each piece to form four legs. Cut one inch into the leg with scissors to form four toes. Cut deep V's all over the alligator to make scales. Brush alligator with beaten egg. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise for 45 minutes. Remove wrap. Bake at 350° F for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove foil from mouth before serving.
