Strawberry Lemon Sweet Roll Surprise

12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature
4 oz. cream cheese
1 egg white
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract - or juice
1/4 c strawberry jam
1/4 c chopped walnuts (optional)
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice


Cream jam, sugar, egg, cream cheese & lemon extract until smooth. Fold in nuts. Flatten your dough to a 4-6 inch circle. Thinly spread cream cheese mixture & roll back up. Place rolls, crease side down, on a baking pan & cover with sprayed plastic wrap. Let rise about 30 minutes (I put mine in the sun so they'd rise faster). Bake at 375º F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Combine powdered sugar & lemon juice & whisk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled rolls. Enjoy your little sweet roll surprise!
