Asparagus is in season, and we're head over heels for this elegant spring appetizer! The crisp, yet tender Rhodes bread wrapped around fresh asparagus spears, topped with herbs and cheese, is just to die for! My husband made a simple dill sauce to dip these in, and he and I ate almost the whole tray for lunch. Good thing we weren't planning on sharing, haha! This appetizer really could not be easier to make. Let's show you how to do it!

All you need is 5 Rhodes dinner rolls (thawed), 24 spears of fresh asparagus (rinsed with the woody ends broken off), some olive oil, garlic salt, fresh chopped rosemary, and grated Parmesan cheese.

Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Combine rolls and roll into an 11x14 inch rectangle. Starting on a short side, cut the rectangle into 24 equal strips.

Wrap each strip around an asparagus spear and lay them on a sprayed baking sheet.

If you want to make the dill sauce my husband made, it's roughly (keep in mind, he didn't measure) 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt, 2 Tbsp mayonnaise, 3 Tbsp sour cream, 1 to 2 tsp minced garlic, 1/4 cup lemon juice (more or less depending on how much tang you want), 1 to 2 Tbsp dried dill weed, salt and pepper to taste. It was light and perfect with the asparagus. I just can't say enough good things about this appetizer! Make it!

It's a Silpat: a silicone non-stick baking mat.
