Sticky Buns

These delicious Sticky Buns will become one of your family favorites.

Summer means sunny days, no school, visits to the pool, and a time to spend more time with family. My family has had a  houseful of company and family. Sticky Buns were a huge hit, and a way to occupy two darling 9 year old cousins.  Let's strap on our aprons and bake.

You will need the following ingredients:

12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold
1/2 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon
 1/3 cup butter, melted
9-inch round baking pan

non stick cooking spray
 plastic wrap

Remove 12 dinner rolls from the freezer, allow to thaw on the counter until thawed but still cold to the touch.  ***Tip*** If you are in a hurry you can place rolls in the microwave on a plate.  Microwave for 10 seconds and then rotate and repeat.  Do not over microwave.  It is really easy to overcook and kill the yeast in the rolls.

Cover the sticky buns with plastic wrap that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.  Allow to rise until double in size.

Take off the plastic wrap and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  ***Tip*** Cover with foil the last five minutes of baking.  This will prevent the top of the Sticky Buns getting too brown.

Remove from oven and invert onto serving platter.  ***Tip***  Use a plastic knife to loosen the sides from the pan.  Remove from the pan right after you take them out of the oven.

Bon Appetite!  These Sticky Buns were really easy and delicious.  They were defiantly a hit with my company and a great way to occupy two cute little girls!  What a great breakfast that will satisfy many.  The next time I make this recipe I think I will cut the rolls in half.  That way I will have more cinnamon and sugar per bite, yummy!   I will hang up my apron until we bake again.
