Savory Breakfast Rolls

These savory breakfast rolls will be a hit with your family and friends!

We love breakfast for dinner and these Savory Breakfast Rolls are a new favorite! Now I love a good cinnamon roll and this is where I kind of took my inspiration from.

Savory Breakfast Rolls

Tender bread dough entwined with delicious breakfast favorites. These rolls are stuffed with gooey cheese, sausage, eggs and sliced scallions. A true breakfast in a swirly roll. They do take just a bit of prep work, you will want to have your eggs and sausage cooked and onions sliced, before you start assembling the rolls.

If you have ever made cinnamon rolls these Savory Breakfast Rolls start the same way. Roll one thawed loaf of Rhodes Frozen Bread Dough into a 10"x15" rectangle.

Then take the prepared toppings and sprinkle over the bread dough. It doesn't really matter what order you put the toppings on. Now that looks pretty good just as it is but the next thing you do is roll it up cinnamon roll style!

This is packed to the brim with goodies so it may be just a tad bit challenging to roll it up but I promise it can be done! Cut the roll into 8 equal sections and place cut side down in a greased baking dish!

Cover the rolls and let rise for about 30 minuets, Then bake until golden brown! So so easy! My family loved these.

Serve with a side of country gravy and you are good to go!

Savory Breakfast Rolls

1 Loaf Rhodes Frozen Bread Dough thawed but still cold
6 eggs
1 lb breakfast sausage
1 1/2 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 green onions finely sliced

Scramble 6 eggs and brown 1 lb of ground breakfast sausage. Slice onions. Set this all aside.
Roll thawed Rhodes Frozen Bread dough in to a 10"x15" rectangle. Sprinkle with cooked eggs, sausage, green onions and cheese. Roll up like a cinnamon roll. Cut into 2.5" slices. Place in greased pan. Allow rolls to rise until double in size about 30 minutes. Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 25 minuets, or until golden brown.
Serve with a side of country gravy.
