They say you should try to fall in love with something new everyday, just like magic we have today covered . . . . Pretzel Snacks. Absolutely DELICIOUS! Click here to see the full recipe
You know those signatures smells you pass when walking through a mall food court? The ones that as soon as you smell them your mouth immediately begins to water? Like Pretzel Maker or Auntie Annies for example. There's nothing like a warm pretzel to curb that hankering for just the right snack. Well, if you don't want to spend a few bucks at the mall food court, you are in luck! Rhodes makes it extremely easy to have those great snacks right at home. I love an easy Rhodes recipe. This one doesn't disappoint. It's even kid friendly - which makes it nice for the little ones who want to help. With a few simple steps you will have these baked up in no time :)
Here's what you will need: Rhodes™ Dinner Rolls (thawed but still cold), melted butter, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, cinnamon/sugar, and salt. I was out of rolls, so I used a loaf - all the same!
Cut dinner rolls in half (I cut them up in quarters, for more bite-sized pretzel snacks). Place on a sprayed baking sheet. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise until double in size.
In a large saucepan bring 3-6 inches of water to a boil. Remove wrap from rolls and slip pretzel snacks, a few at a time (or... as many as will fit), into gently boiling water. Boil for about 15 seconds on each side.
Remove with slotted spoon; drain on cooling rack.
Return to sprayed baking sheet. Bake immediately at 375°F 10-15/20'ish minutes or until golden brown.
Brush liberally with melted butter. They will transform into beautiful little rolls.
In three large zip-lock bags, place your pretzel toppings; Parmesan cheese and parsley, cinnamon/sugar, and salt.
Drop your straight-from-the-oven buttered rolls into each zip-lock and shake vigorously; making sure to coat each snack evenly.
Transfer to a cooling rack... and try, just try to resist those warm little heavenly bites!
Serve right away, or save for later... if there are any to save :) Be sure to place any leftovers in either a zip-lock or a sealed container to preserve freshness.
P.s. They taste just as wonderful as they look. Enjoy!
