Pizza Crust stuffed breadsticks. Do you like stuffed crust pizza...The crust is the best part! Here is a recipe for stuffed crust breadsticks.
Even as an adult, there are few things I love more than pizza. Everyone I know seems to have moved on, but I never will. I know that there is nothing more comforting or delicious than a slice of amazing pizza, unless there is stuffed crust. Stuffed crust gets me every time, basically a delicious bread stick with a hint of mozzarella? I am there.
After a couple slices of stuffed crust pizza, all I want is the crusts. So why not just make the crusts? There's no reason not to, it is like the perfect mozzarella stick and better yet, it is baked, not fried, so you don't even feel guilty for grabbing a second one.

You will need:

  • 12 Rhodes Bake N Serv Rolls
  • 6-12 sticks of string cheese
  • cooking spray
  • butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. shredded Parmesan cheese

First thaw your rolls.  Cover with sprayed plastic wrap. Allow to rise for 20-30 minutes.

Roll out each dinner roll into a 4-6 inch circle.

Slice your cheese sticks in half long wise. This will give you just that little bit of mozzarella. If you want to add more cheese, use a whole stick, you may just have to bake them a little while longer.

Roll the cheese stick in a piece of dough, pinching the ends to make sure everything is sealed. If you don't seal the dough well, your cheese will bubble out when cooking.

Roll your bread sticks in melted butter.

Then roll in your breadcrumb/cheese mixture. Place the bread sticks on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes depending on your oven. Your bread sticks are done when golden brown. We love to serve this with a fabulous marinara sauce, but I'd eat them plain too!

Wonderful.
How about adding some chopped garlic with the cheese filling?
Other chopped veggies to consider: zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, onions...
