Jalapeno Cheese Monkey Bread

This flavorful bread is the perfect addition to any meal.

I will definitely add this recipe to my recipe book!  It is delicious!  We had friends coming for dinner.  I used it as an appetizer while my husband was busy grilling the chicken. The whole thig was gone in 5 minutes!

It’s easy and quick to make as well. Here is what you need:

12 Rhodes Dinner Rolls

3 tablespoons butter, melted

3/4 cup drained jalapeno slices, divided

1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese, divided

3/4 teaspoon dried oregano

3/4 teaspoon garlic powder

When your rolls have thawed, cut them in fourths.  I kept them divided into three piles.  This helps when you start to layer.

Dip 16 of the roll pieces in butter and layer in the bottom of a sprayed loaf pan.  I chose to use a Bundt pan, only because we had people coming over and I wanted to see how it would look. (Amazing! by the way)  A Bundt pan gives a little bit of a “wow” factor.

Sprinkle dough with 1/2 cup cheese, 1/4 cup jalapeno slices, 1/4 teaspoon oregano and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.  I combined my garlic and oregano, then just used a pinch each layer.

Layer two, Dip 16 more pieces in butter, layer over first layer and sprinkle as before.

Dip the last 16 pieces in your butter, layer and sprinkle as above but leave the cheese off. (Or the top layer of cheese will burn.) Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise until double in size.

Bake at 350°F 20 minutes.

Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.  Bake 5 minutes longer until cheese is melted.  I covered my Bundt with foil to prevent from burning.

Remove from pan to cool and serve warm. As I mentioned earlier, it didn’t last 5 minutes.  YUMMY!
