Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly? Absolutely! Click here to see the full recipe
Being creative in the kitchen can be a bit of a challenge. Even more so when your biggest customer is a picky three year old.
Thankfully I have Rhodes frozen bread dough to fall back on. The soft and fluffy slices are the perfect canvas for culinary creativity!
I created this grilled peanut butter and jelly as a way to get my little one to look past your typical chicken nugget lunch. Who wouldn’t want to dig into this warm and gooey plate of goodness?
Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly
1 loaf of Rhodes frozen bread, baked per package instructions.
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 tablespoon jam or jelly Butter
Slice up your bread. Pick two pieces that are relatively the same in size. Spread one slice with peanut butter.
Top with jelly.
Before you put the top slice on, spread the outside with butter. Plop into your warmed pan.
Ok… maybe don’t plop it… That might leave you with a sticky mess. After a minute or two flip your sandwich. Once both sides are a golden brown you are ready to dig in!
Use a cookie cutter to create fun shapes if you are serving to little ones, or simply slice in half. This is such a great way to switch up meal time. It’s quick and easy, and not to mention fun to eat!
If you feel like making it extra special… toss some fresh fruit on top of your peanut butter. OR try this with Nutella and fruit. You won’t be disappointed.
