A twist on an old favorite that will have everyone asking for more. "GRILLED" Peanut Butter & Jam!
That’s right, "Grilled" Peanut Butter & Jam! To be really honest I was really skeptical! When I told my kids we were having grilled PBJ’s they wanted no part of it… But I was patient, and when those sandwiches came off the grill, AMAZING! Seriously the best PBJ I’ve ever had. It’s a tiny bit of extra effort for a Peanut Butter and Jam sandwich…but SO WORTH IT!
All you need is:
1 loaf of Rhodes Bread (Rhodes bread makes all the difference!)
Slice your bread like you do for a sandwich.
Spread Peanut Butter on one side, Jam on the other.
Close Sandwich. Spread butter on outside of both slices.
Place on the grill or skillet. I like to use my grill. (I can cook lots of sandwiches at once.) Toast both sides to golden brown.

1 Loaf Rhodes Bread, baked following instructions on package
Slice cooled loaf.
Spread peanut butter and jelly on one slice. Top with another slice of bread. Spread the top of the sandwich with butter. Heat skillet to medium and place sandwich in the skillet, buttered side down.
While sandwich is cooking, spread remaining side with butter. When the sandwich is toasted to a golden brown, turn over and toast the other side.
Repeat to make as many sandwiches as desired. Remove from skillet and serve warm.
