Oh’ my heavens, Breakfast Bread Pudding. Is there anything better than waking up to the smell of home ~ baked goodness? I absolutely LOVE (in all caps) waking my family up to delicious smells throughout our house….this recipe does NOT disappoint.Try it this weekend, I personally guarantee happy ~ smiley faces around your breakfast table.

The ingredients for this recipe alone are enough to make something full of delicious, but combined and baked and drizzled….be still my heart. Y to the UMMY pretty much sums it up.

 

This recipe uses 12 of our Warm-N-Serv Sour Dough Rolls, thawed (how easy is that?)

8 eggs

2 cups milk

½ cup heavy cream

¾ cup sugar

2 tablespoons vanilla

Topping:

½ cup flour

½ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon salt

1 stick cold butter

2/4 cup chopped pecans

 

Cut each of the rolls into 8 pieces and layer into a well sprayed 9X13 baking pan. This Breakfast Bread Pudding is the perfect breakfast to wake up your family with.

 

 

Mix the eggs, milk, cream, sugar and vanilla together in a bowl and pour over the bread pieces to saturate.

Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

When you are ready to bake, take the cover off the bread mixture and combine the topping ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over the bread mixture.

Bake @ 350? for about 45 minutes. To prevent over browning, cover with foil the last 5 minutes of baking if necessary. Serve with syrup or powdered sugar glaze.

 

Powdered Sugar Glaze:

2 cups powdered sugar

6 tablespoons milk

4 tablespoons butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla

 

Combine ingredients and drizzle over bread pudding. There you have it, a quick & easy recipe that is sure to create hungry chaos in your kitchen. Happy baking friends!

Ingredients

12 Rhodes Warm-N-Serv® Sourdough Rolls or 12 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls baked following package directions
8 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla

Crumble Topping:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
6 tablespoons milk
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Cut each of the rolls into 8 pieces and place evenly in a well sprayed 9x13-inch baking pan.

Mix the eggs, milk, cream, sugar and vanilla together in a bowl and pour over the roll pieces to saturate. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.

Remove from refrigerator and take off the cover. Combine the topping ingredients in a bowl until crumbly and sprinkle over the roll mixture.

Bake at 350°F 45-50 minutes. To prevent over browning, cover with foil last 10-15 minutes of baking.

Combine Powdered Sugar Glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm bread pudding.
