My three year old son loves helping me in the kitchen so I decided to try to find something that would be easy for him to help me make. When I saw the Crunchy Caramel Sticks in the Home Baked Family Favorites cookbook I knew I found the perfect thing.

Cut each roll in half and roll each half into a 10-inch stick. Place on a large sprayed baking sheet. Do not allow sticks to touch as you want the breadsticks to be crispy all around. Bake at 400°F 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely For an extra crunchy stick let them sit out over night.

Dip about two thirds of each breadstick in melted caramel. Place back on sprayed cookie sheet and cool in refrigerator until completely set. Remove from refrigerator and bring to room temperature. Drizzle with melted chocolate as desired. Your kids will love rolling out the dough and drizzling the chocolate over the sticks. You can use colored chocolate to coordinate with the season or for a holiday.
