Chili Cone Queso

We are a family who loves Disneyland.  With the new Cars Land open, it feels like you are right in the middle of the movie.  Have you tried the Chili Cone Queso at the Cozy Cone Motel?...

It is basically a cone shaped bread bowl that is filled with chili and cheese.  You can either eat the cone as you go or eat your chili with a spoon then eat the cone.
To make the bread cone you have to make a few molds out of foil.

Just crumple the foil up and shape it into a cone.  Roll it along the counter to make it as smooth as possible.  I made a few so I could bake several at a time.

Next, spray the counter  lightly with non-stick cooking spray.  Take 1 1/2 Rhodes Texas rolls (thawed but still cold) and roll them into one long rope.  Starting at the pointy end of the foil mold, start wrapping the dough rope in a spiral pattern around it.  It doesn't matter if you make the rope thick or thin.

Make sure there are no holes or gaps between the rope sections.  Once you've made your cones, place them on a cookie sheet and bake them at 350 until golden brown.  Watch them closely so they don't burn.  I like to lightly rub butter over the cone about 8 min into baking. This helps to make the cone crispy and gives it that golden look.

Remove the cones from the oven and let them cool a little.  While they are still warm twist the bread cone off the mold.  It it gets stuck use a butter knife to loosen the edges.  The smoother your mold the easier it is to get the cone off.
Fill with chili or soup of any kind and enjoy.
