These simple and delicious Chicken Jalapeno Sliders are sure to be a hit at your next summer party! 

Seriously, it doesn't get better than toasted rolls, creamy chicken filling, bacon and just a touch of heat. And, it doesn't get easier than using Rhodes Warm-N-Serv rolls. These delicious sliders come together in 20 minutes or less.

Rhodes Chicken Jalapeno Sliders

To make this delicious recipe you'll need a bag of soft dinner rolls (the Rhodes Warm-N-Serve kind make this recipe so quick and easy), panko bread crumbs, cooked and shredded chicken (you can use canned or even a rotisserie chicken to save even more time), Monterey Jack cheese, bacon, a jalapeno pepper (I also added a red bell pepper), garlic, cream cheese and sour cream (not pictured, oops! ;)).

Start with the cooked rolls. Brush each half with butter and dip the buttered halves in panko bread crumbs. Place rolls, breadcrumb side up on a cookie sheet and broil until just golden brown. 

Rhodes Chicken Jalapeno SlidersHeat 2 teaspoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped jalapeno and bell pepper and saute for 2 minutes, then add garlic. Reduce heat to low and stir in the cream cheese until melted then add the sour cream. Add chicken and stir to coat completely. Add cheese and bacon and stir until well combined. Remove from heat. 

Fill each roll with chicken filling and enjoy!

The addition of the panko to the toasted rolls adds the perfect crunch, and the cream cheese and sour cream perfectly balance the touch of heat from the jalapeno. Like I said, these are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

6 Rhodes Warm-N-Serv® Soft Yeast Dinner Rolls or Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, baked as directed
2 teaspoons oil
1 large Jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
3 tablespoon butter, melted
1/3 cup panko bread crumbs

Instructions

Heat oil over medium heat. Saute chopped Jalapeno for 2 minutes, then add garlic. Reduce heat to low and stir in cream cheese until melted then add sour cream. Add chicken and stir to coat completely. Sprinkle with pepper. Add cheese and bacon and mix until well combined. Remove from heat.

Slice baked rolls in half and brush each side with butter. Dip buttered sides in panko crumbs. Place rolls, crumb side up , on baking sheet and broil just until golden brown. Remove from oven and divide chicken mixture evenly between rolls.
