Chicken and Swiss Bake

Enjoy our first Guest Blogger Post by the amazing Yvonne of Tried and Tasty. Trust me, you won't want to miss this! Click here to read the full article...

Recently Rhodes approached me, along with seven other fabulous bloggers, to be a guest blogger for them. Of course I was flattered beyond belief. More excited than I could even explain. I've been using Rhodes Bake N Serv products for as long as I can remember. I've posted many recipes featuring their frozen dough. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to share more of their wonderful recipes. I chose to start with the Chicken & Swiss Bake to showcase just how easy Rhodes makes dinnertime. I made this meal for my family and they all enjoyed it. I look forward to sharing many more tasty recipes brought to you by Rhodes. Here's what you will need: Rhodes Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature, mayonnaise, minced fresh parsley, prepared mustard, finely chopped onion, cubed cooked chicken breast, bacon strips cooked & crumbled, and grated Swiss cheese.

Clean and dry the area you will be using. Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Combine rolls together.

Roll the dough into a 12x15-inch rectangle. This was a little tricky at first. The dough will want to shrink on you, but keep working at it and it will eventually cooperate!

Next, cover the dough with lightly sprayed plastic wrap and let rest.

In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, parsley (if you don't have fresh, dried works just as well), mustard and onion.

Stir in the chicken (be sure that it's chopped into small cubes... slightly smaller than pictured), bacon and cheese.

Remove wrap; set aside to be used momentarily. Spread the yummy filling evenly over dough.

Starting with a short side - or hot dog side (something I think every child learned at some point in elementary. Right? Or just me?), roll up tightly. Pinch edges to seal.

Join ends to form a ring and place seam side down on a sprayed baking sheet. With knife or scissors, make cuts nearly to the center of ring 1 1/2 to 2-inches apart. Turn each slice on its side, resting on the adjoining slice. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap (the one you used earlier)†and let rise 15-20 minutes. Just before baking, I brushed mine with a light egg wash to give it a beautiful rich brown color after baking. Remove wrap and bake at 375 F 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
