Caramel Rolls

We love caramel rolls at my house - my kids always devour them, but it can be difficult to find time to set aside to make them from scratch. With Rhodes frozen cinnamon roll, it's a snap!

Delicious Caramel RollsHello from Jasey's Crazy Daisy! We love caramel rolls at my house - my kids always devour them, but it can be difficult to find time to set aside to make them from scratch. With Rhodes frozen cinnamon rolls, I don't have to slave away anymore. I let them do the work for me and still end up with the fresh tasting bread that my family knows and loves. The hardest part is remembering to take the frozen rolls out of the freezer, they take several hours to thaw and rise -  but I can pretty much forget about them after about 5 minutes of prep time. Seriously, with five minutes and only three ingredients I am on my way to fresh baked caramel rolls - no mixing, kneading, rolling, or slicing. It just doesn't get better than that! Let me show you how to make these.

First, grab a 9x13 baking dish (if you have one that is extra deep, use it that one) and pour in 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream and add 1 cup brown sugar.

Place 9 frozen rolls, spaced evenly, on top of the caramel.

Caramel Rolls Ready to Raise

Cover loosely with plastic wrap that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Cover with a clean dish towel. Set in a warm place until rolls have doubled in size (three-five hours). (If you wanted to save time and have them fresh for the morning, place them in the refrigerator at this point. Take them out in the morning and set them in a warm place (like on top of the stove while it is preheating) to finishing rising and continue with the rest of the directions.)

When the rolls have doubled in size, bake at 325 degrees for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. You will want to make sure the rolls sound hollow when you gently tap them. If they are getting too brown on the outsides, cover them with foil. Make sure you don't under bake them or the middle rolls could end up soggy. Let cool for 10 minutes before inverting on a serving plate.
