I am a cheese fanatic. I love all kinds of cheese and I especially love trying new varieties. When I found this recipe in the Rhodes Recipe Index I knew it had my name written all over it. Not just because it is cheesy delicious, but also because it is quick and most of all because I didn't have to roll the dough into the circle. I only had to roll each roll. Rolling dough out isn't my favorite thing to do. Especially when I have to fight it to stop rolling up on me. That's another story for another day. This was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely make it again. You should try it!
The line-up: Rhodes™ White Dinner Rolls, thawed and risen (I chose to rise them in my jumbo muffin pan, it worked out nicely), butter or margarine, softened, garlic powder (I used garlic salt instead), parsley flakes, Parmesan cheese, artichoke hearts, chopped, grated mozzarella cheese, grated Havarti cheese, grated Provolone cheese (I couldn't find a block of provolone, or shredded - so I just omitted it) and fresh cracked black pepper.
This pizza is simple stuff: flatten each roll into a 3-inch circle. Done.
Place one in the center of a sprayed 12-inch pizza pan. Place remaining rolls in a circle around the center one overlapping each one about 1/2-inch. Bake at 375°F 10 minutes. Super simple, my kind of way to make a pizza!
Combine softened butter, garlic powder and parsley flakes. Spread over cooled crust.
Avoid diving right in, it will be worth it! I was caught off guard that it was lumpy, but it totally worked out.
Sprinkle with the Parmesan...
... and then the chopped artichokes.
Lastly, cover with grated mozzarella, Havarti, and provolone (if you could find it at your grocer - I couldn't)
Sprinkle with pepper and bake at 375°F an additional 10-15 minutes or until cheese is nicely melted.
