These delicious sandwich rolls are filled with a scrumptious bacon cheddar barbecue mixture. They are a fun twist on one of my favorite restaurant treats.
Once in a while when we are dining out and I want to splurge I order a Bacon Cheddar Barbecue Burger. I love big juicy cheeseburgers. Bacon with barbecue sauce just puts them over the top! They are so so yummy! That's where the inspiration came for these fun Barbecue Bacon Cheddar Cheese Burger Roll Ups. They come together in a snap with a few ingredients and are a sure crowd pleaser. Let me show you how to make them!
First, set out a loaf of Rhodes Frozen dough to thaw as directed on the package on a baking sheet that's been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
When the bread is about ready, fry some bacon. When it's just about crispy, add a small diced onion
and some ground beef and brown until cooked through and onion is tender. Drain well. Season to taste with a little salt and pepper and stir in a little barbecue sauce.
On a floured surface, roll your dough into a 12x15-inch rectangle.
Spread the barbecue meat mixture evenly over the surface of the dough.
Sprinkle with some cheddar cheese.
Starting with one long side, roll everything up pinching the seams together. Dip your fingers in flour to pinch together any holes without the dough sticking to your fingers.
Place the dough seam side down on the same cookie sheet it thawed on and bake for around 30 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with a little more cheddar cheese and slice before serving. Yummy!
