If you are looking for a fun and easy meal for your children, look no further. These Baked Hot Dogs on a Stick are so easy to make and your kids will have fun eating them. My son loved helping me make our hot dogs.

 

Bake these Hot Dogs on a Stick for the kids to enjoy.

 

 

You will need:

Rhodes Dinner Rolls, thawed
hot dogs
1 egg
wooden skewers
sesame seeds (optional)

Bake these Hot Dogs on a Stick for the kids to enjoy.

 

First you will need to cut your hot dogs in half.Bake these Hot Dogs on a Stick for the kids to enjoy.

 

Next insert a wooden skewer into each hot dog half.Bake these Hot Dogs on a Stick for the kids to enjoy.

 

Roll one dinner roll into a 12 inch rope. The thinner the rope the better. 
Start at one end of the hot dog and wrap the dough around the hot dog half. Make sure to tuck the dough ends under so they wont lift during baking.

Repeat for desired amount.

Bake these Hot Dogs on a Stick for the kids to enjoy.

 

Place hot dogs on a baking sheet. I like to place parchment paper under my hot dogs.
Beat the egg and brush on each hot dog. Sprinkle on sesame seeds (optional). Bake these Hot Dogs on a Stick for the kids to enjoy.

 

Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Bake these Hot Dogs on a Stick for the kids to enjoy.

 

 

Serve with mustard, ketchup or favorite dip.

Ingredients

Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold
hot dogs, cut in half
1 egg, beaten
sesame seeds
wooden skewers

Instructions

Roll one dinner roll into a 10-12-inch rope. Insert a wooden skewer into each hot dog half.

Wrap dough around a hot dog half, tucking ends under dough.

Repeat above steps to make desired amount. Place on sprayed baking sheets. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake at 375ºF 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
