Ingredients
24 Rhodes™ White Dinner Rolls thawed & risen
4 1/2 cups Nilla wafers, crushed
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup chopped almonds
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon almond extract
Icing
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 teaspoons milk
3 tablespoons slivered almonds
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine wafers, butter, chopped almonds, water and almond extract. Set aside. On a lightly floured surface, roll half of dough into a 15x11 inch rectangle. Spread with half the wafer mixture. Roll dough starting from the short side of rectangle (as for jelly roll). Seal edges. Place on a sprayed baking sheet. Shape into a crescent. With scissors, make cuts to within 1 inch of the center at 1 inch intervals. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap. Repeat procedure with remaining ingredients. Let rise until double in size. Remove wrap. Bake at 350°F 20-25 minutes. Remove from baking sheets to wire racks. While warm, drizzle icing and sprinkle with slivered almonds.
