I have been married to my wonderful husband for 7 years, and we have three children ages 5, 3, and 1. My happiest moments and greatest fulfillment comes from being a wife and a mother. As a homemaker, I enjoy creating a spiritual, safe, and happy haven for my family. Besides cooking and baking, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, sewing, gardening, getting together with friends, attending my dance class, and watching BYU football with my husband : )
As a busy mother of six almost grown children, I have always loved to create things. Whether in the kitchen or in my workroom, I always have a project in progress. When I finally decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon, I was immediately hooked. Two years later, I can’t remember when blogging wasn’t part of my weekly schedule. Now I love sharing craft ideas, recipes (old and new) and my thoughts and adventures with anyone that cares to stop by and read all about it at Just Helen. It makes my kids happy when they come home and the aroma of something yummy greets them at the door. They are great guinea pigs, especially when it has Rhodes in the ingredients list!

Hello there! It’s so nice to have you here as my guest…I’m Janelle, a Christian, a Wife, a Mama of 3 young children, and an advocate of “meal ministry”. I absolutely love to cook..I typically have an audience of 3 kiddos, pulled up on chairs, taking turns pouring ingredients into bowls. My spiritual gifts are a mix of “hospitality and evangelism”. So, here I am at the center of God’s will, hoping to help you get a little more comfy in your kitchen! Wohoo!
I dabble in a little bit of everything, baking, cooking, sewing, quilting, crafting, and other DIY home projects. Letting others know they are appreciated is important to me and I love thinking of fun ways to let them know how special they are. I’ve always wanted to write a book that actually gets published. I believe in miracles and have three of my own. I work hard to find a balance between time spent with my family, blogging, and maintaining our crazy activity schedule and our home (dishes, laundry, floors, you know how that goes). My family is at the top of my priorities and will always win this battle, so when I’m gone from the blogosphere, you know where I am, although I shouldn’t be gone for too long.

I am the product of my Greek parents who settled here in Ohio. I have lots of memories of being in the kitchen with my mom as she made everything from scratch. She would let me have my own ball of dough to play with and never complained about the floury mess I was making. I remember being allowed and encouraged to practice baking on my own at an early age. I’m so grateful for the food appreciation my mom instilled in me.

In addition to her love and passion for cooking, baking, and all things relating to a kitchen (except for dishes of course) she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. Blogging and crafting take up most of her days, in addition to being a full time mortgage loan officer at a local credit union. Why does she love Rhodes?
