S'mores Calzones? Absolutley! A fun & new twist on one of the sweet tastes of Summer. Quick + easy = True Love!
I think s'mores are the quintessential summer treat. Everybody loves the ooey gooey goodness! These S'mores Calzones are a fun twist on the original. They have all the flavors of s'mores baked inside a Rhodes Dinner Roll. I added some peanut butter chips to the s'more mixture. I thought it really gave it a great flavor. Feel free to add nuts, white chocolate or butterscotch chips. The possibilities are endless!
Here is what you need:
2 Rhodes Dinner Rolls per calzone
peanut butter chips (optional)
mini marshmallows or mallow bits
Golden Grahams cereal
Thaw rolls, covered, approximately 30 minutes.
Press two thawed rolls together.
Press rolls into a 6-inch circle.
Top half of roll with Golden Grahams, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and marshmallows.
Fold top of the dough over the filling and press edges to seal.
Place calzones on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake calzones for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown.
I brushed the baked calzones with some melted butter and topped it with some graham cracker crumbs.
The calzones are best served warm.
