Have you ever had a dessert Pizza? Dessert Pizza can be made with many different flavor combinations. When you make a dessert pizza with chocolate chips, how could you possibly go wrong? Rhodes asked us to feature their recipe for Chocolate Chip Pizza. The base layer is made from 9 Rhodes Bake-N-Serv™ Dinner Rolls. I always keep them in my freezer. As delicious as they are by themselves, there are many other things you can make with them.
Thaw 9 Rhodes Bake-N-Serv™ Dinner Rolls until they are at room temperature.
Spray the counter top with non-stick spray. Press the dinner rolls all together and roll them out into a circle to fit a 12” pizza pan. I like to “dock” the dough with a fork (this helps to prevent bubbles from forming in the crust as it bakes.)
Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated 350° oven. Remove from oven and allow the crust to cool.
Meanwhile, as the crust is baking, in a small bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and 1/3 cup of the mini chocolate chips. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, brown sugar, melted butter and vanilla. Stir until it resembles crumbs. Set aside.
After the pizza crust has come out of the oven and cooled, spread it with the cream cheese mixture leaving a 1/2” border. Then sprinkle on the streusel topping, followed by 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips.
Bake an additional 10-12 minutes or until the crust has turned golden.
